3D Printemps Video now available individually

One of the most dramatic and 3-dimensional lessons I’ve ever created is now available to the public! This lesson was originally released as an online class held for members of my Art Club.

The lesson starts by explaining concepts of foreshortening applied to a shallow cone such as Printemps.

Detailed explanations are given on how to not only create the conical shapes, but also how to apply a second layer of foreshortening to the patterns on the surface of the Printemps spiral.

During the project, we create elaborate designs and learn how to create dramatic shading — which can be more quickly applied using gray markers (but can also be achieved with other media such as colored pencils or graphite pencil).

Additionally, we also explored the tangle Toodles (Zentangle) used as a backdrop behind the large Printemps.

The video is an advanced 3-hour recording of the class held in March 2020 (unedited so that you can really feel like you participate in it). Additionally, it has bonus PDFs.
