Shading Blended Tangles
Today I had a really neat class Art Clubbers. We took the line-art we had done in a previous class and spent over 2 hours shading it.
My favorite pencil is the Staedtler Mars Lumograph F pencil, which you see here really short. But it's ok to use a short pencil, there are different grips which are much easier with a short pencil than a long one.
There many different ways to shade a picture, but for those one I selected the following shading components:
Here you can see the shading pretty advanced:
Here you can see a close-up of the final picture:
Here is a partial mosaic of some of the work the Clubbers did. Look at all that beautiful shading!
Here you can see two other pictures with the same tangles which I completed previously.
And here is one picture that I scanned and printed, so you can see the line-art and the shaded version together.
Feel free to pin or share these pictures!
A few weeks ago one my friends suggested a “skyline” string over a mass of water. I used mooka3d, Alfie (Angie Gittles), Nik (Bunny Wright) and Dillo-tant (Lisa Goldman). I wonder if the buildings are emerging or submerging? :-)
