Star Lattice in Purple

I haven't created a medallion/mandala picture in quite some time. With all the holiday festivities going on, I thought I'd create a star reticulum design to fill up with fragments. I picked up one of my many distressed/watercolor tiles that have been sitting around forever and went to work. Turned out SO MUCH MORE amazing than I imagined it, wow!

Here’s the before and after:

I used a variety of different pens and colored pencils, including some neon gel pens. I also used the fragments from the Zentangle Primer to fill in the lattice, along with Mooka3D (tangleation of Mooka) and Voadora tangles (my own). Here’s a close-up for you to inspect:
