Popup Flower Class
Wow, what an intense class this was! Last Sunday Art Clubbers and I created a 3-dimensional pop-up flower card that can be neatly folded and sent through the mail. I started the class by showing some examples that I created:
We started the class by using watercolors to paint the background of the flower templates, base card and cover.
Next, we decorated and tangled over the flowers.
Then we cut the petals and assembled the flower.
Finally we added the flower to the decorated background card!
Feel free to pin or share these pictures if you like.
Another super weird pop-up! Here I used a twisting mechanism, which rotates 90 degrees as the card opens and closes. On top of that I added a number of add-ons and the result is pretty crazy! Tangles are Twing, Crescent Moon, Printemps (all Zentangle) and also Fescurus Verae (Veronica Vazquez Orozco) and some other things that don't have names.
