Fancy Caps Class
Yesterday I taught a much awaited class to my Art Club students. It was a long class, packed with information.
I talked about how the Fancy Caps appeared - this into a tangle patter, but more of an enhancer. We explored the anatomy of the gems and how to add them in different positions.
I showed different ways to apply the fancy caps on to tangles that we already know:
We then worked on this lovely Zentangle-Inspired project (ZIA) with two fancy caps:
We also used Enyshou (Zentangle) and Damsel Leaf (Annette Ruempler) in the piece:
We learned how to shade the whole thing:
Here's a variation with blue gems shaded using a Bic (Biro) pen:
Here's a better close-up of the final picture:

A few weeks ago one my friends suggested a “skyline” string over a mass of water. I used mooka3d, Alfie (Angie Gittles), Nik (Bunny Wright) and Dillo-tant (Lisa Goldman). I wonder if the buildings are emerging or submerging? :-)
