Walk near pond

I asked the Art Clubbers to throw me a couple of Art Raffles so that I can plan the next lesson. What fun! This one is not right for a lesson, but I loved making it anyway! Here's the original raffle, pulled out by Ilonka:

This design starts with a “Walk near Pond” string, which is essentially a foreshortened series of concentric circles with a strong diagonal breaking the composition. I started with Scena and you can see the Overflow frame (weak) attempt in the center.

What I really LOVE about this is the African Artist (Tina Hunziker) applied as an edge, makes the whole thing look like a gigantic pie in the sky. That's the magic of Zentangle, you never know what you're going to get!

Other tangles used were Scena (looking more like Enyshou), Hollibaugh, Ibex (Zentangle), Freeform Knot (Eni Oken), Pearled Diva Dance (seen very delicately behind the freeform knot).

I love how delicate the Ibex turned out over the painted background, and how dramatic the freeform knot turned out on the right side. A very fun tile!

Feel free to pin and share these images if you like!
