Twisted Ropes and Letters

It's so much fun to draw twisted ropes! I can't get enough of these. Not only twisted ropes can act as a super dimensional string to divide the picture into sections to be tangled, they can form letters!!!! Loving it!

The thing that attract me the most to these is that they are great to create overlap, forming super dimensional pictures.

In these tiles, I was testing not only how to draw twisted ropes, but also trying out Peter Pauper's tiles. The advantage they have over Zentangle tiles is obviously price, however, I thought they were a little too smooth and missed the texture of the regular tiles. If you are crazy about shading super smoothly, then go for it! Peter Pauper Artist Tiles.

This one below, I used the ropes to divide the picture into sections and filled them with a different colored pen:

The overlap really helps to create a 3D feeling:

Suddenly I had a brilliant idea to try to make a cursive letter, and it worked!
