Rainbow Shading is back again!

The absolutely fantastic class Rainbow Shading is now back and available as a 6 HOUR recording at my shop. This is probably the longest class I have ever produced. It started as a series for members of my Art Club covering techniques on how to shade using only colored pencils, while leveraging the power of color temperature and contrast.

The course started with the traditional explanation of the color wheel and understanding hue, shade, tone, tint and color temperature.

We didn't stay very long in theory and quickly went into practical uses, exploring 4 different levels of color shading.

The color wheel is a real tool for me, I use it constantly to pick colors based on color temperature and position on the wheel.

In Part 2, we continued practicing, this time on fragments of real tangles that we know and love.

In Part 3, we started our first project, using the tangles we had practiced on.

Using this technique produces an incredibly luminous result, no matter which palette you pick.

In Parts 4 and 5, we worked on a much more complex project with tons of tangles.
