Pokeroot Tagh
I got an unusual combination of tangles from the Art Raffle app, a lot of round things.
What to do with all these rounded shapes? Pokeroot, Jetties and Gourdgeous, all Zentangle tangles. I decided to continue in a similar same vein as suggested by the “To You Tangle” event (here) and work them in the radial string. I made a hybrid pokeroot and used a little bit of spherify on Tagh. Here’s the before and after shading:
The shading is amazing!!!! Pickpocket ribbon (a tangleation of Tomas Padros Pickpocket) on an octagonal frame around the whole thing. Here’s another closer view for you to inspect:

The gorgeous Tree of Life video class is now available at my shop for individual purchase. This is a two part advanced video class.
I am always surprised at what comes out of my pen when drawing intuitive art. I don't think this classifies as Zentangle, but it was drawn in the same intuitive and unplanned manner, other than wanting to use a couple of fragments I had drawn on my recipe cards.
Today Art Clubbers and I worked on Part 2 of the lovely Tree of Life ZIA project. We worked on the frame, background and shading.
Last Thursday Art Clubbers and I worked on Part 1 of the lovely Tree of Life ZIA project. We created the line-art for the tree branches, leaves and flowers. In Part 2 we'll work on the frame, background and shading.
I think we are all a little in love with Tomàs Padro's new tangle Medusa. Here I'm posting two simple tiles where I explored the shading and different ways to construct the underlying ogee grid. I suspect Medusa is going to appear more in my work very soon!
I had a blast making these two pieces combining Wartz (Genevieve Crabe) with Sinkhole and Spherify! The Art Raffle gave me this difficult combination, but it was a fun experiment and I'm super happy with it.
Two pieces with Hollis over a triangular string, sprouting from a fancy triangular fragment. One of them also plays with 3D cuffs over Wyfore. Fun!
Last week Art Clubbers and I had a Tangle Play session including Wyfore - where we explore tangles and make index cards - and I decided to combine it with Drawings over a triangular string. Very fun to play with!
I’m still incredibly inspired by project pack 20. In these images I combined Drawings and Myseliam (and some other stuff too). Can't get enough of these Blossom tangles.
A few weeks ago one my friends suggested a “skyline” string over a mass of water. I used mooka3d, Alfie (Angie Gittles), Nik (Bunny Wright) and Dillo-tant (Lisa Goldman). I wonder if the buildings are emerging or submerging? :-)
