More White Carving over Tan

Continuing my exploration of this interesting technique (similar to the Glazed Whitework, but over tan paper), I created a second white carving. If you recall a few posts before, this was inspired by the gorgeous plasterwork present in the Alhambra in Spain.

I continue to explore the stylized leaf shapes (called atauriques) and I love the effect of the background simulating stone surface. Here's a close-up for you to inspect. I used white gel pen and white pencils, colored pencils for tinting and shading.
