Heart Knot Journal Tile
It’s been so long since I made one of these Tangled Journal Tiles! I used to make them all the time for my private journaling. This one has as focal point a series of heart knot fragments I learned from Sheila Sturrock’s book, and is shaded in sepia/brown inks. Tangles include Shiloh (Maureen Stott) and Trelina (my own).
Here’s a short sequence. This style can be learned through my online video class Tangled Journal Tiles.
And here are a couple of other views of this piece which measures 4x6 inches.

I’m still enjoying making these mini needlepoints, I might use them as patches to embellish purses or totes. I’m finding the similarities with Zentangle fascinating: repetitive patterns, intuitive and meditative method (in this type of counted design), small size canvas, portability and unexpected results. Fun!
