Cancer is not all rosy ribbons. It's grueling, it's time consuming, it's ugly. No more rose-colored glasses. This is a collection of pictures I drew from bed in 2011 and 2012 when I was treating for stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, when I was too weak to create any other type of art. It was a dark moment, and other topics that bothered me are included.
It was because of the rather gruesome nature of this collection that my oncologist suggested that I search for something more positive to help healing. Obsessed with drawing tiny repetitive patterns, I then discovered the healing power of Zentangle® and eventually became a Certified Zentangle Teacher.
