For those who tend to wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. If you get up to pee at night too frequently, you might have what is called "Nocturnal Polyuria". Common causes for nocturnal polyuria can be congestive heart failure, abnormally low blood level of albumin, impairment of the flow of blood through veins, excessive fluid intake, use of long acting diuretics, sleep apnea or insomnia. To help, reduce the amount of fluids you consume, especially alcohol and caffeine, exercise regularly, wear elastic support stockings, put your feet up after lunch to reduce fluid build up or take a diuretic to help eliminate the builds before going to bed.
