Last class of Zentangle MatchMaking Series
The end of the year is here, and with it, the end of the Zentangle MatchMaking series. Yesterday Art Clubbers and I had the last session of this fantastic series. I did a brief recap on everything we learned and then we applied what we learned using Ancient Egypt (and other things) as inspiration.
After extracting bits of pieces from different sources, we worked on a black and white piece. Each Clubber did a completely different thing, in true spirit of Classic Zentangle.
Here’s my final picture:

I’m still enjoying making these mini needlepoints, I might use them as patches to embellish purses or totes. I’m finding the similarities with Zentangle fascinating: repetitive patterns, intuitive and meditative method (in this type of counted design), small size canvas, portability and unexpected results. Fun!
