Yellow Yful

I had so much fun making this tile! At first, the triangular weave proved to be somewhat of a challenge. 

It all started with last week's focus tangle Y-ful Power (by Shoshi). I wondered what would happen if I filled it up with Echo Lines. 

I love this look! Super organic and weird. 

So I started this tile drawing Y-ful just like it normally goes...

...then used it as a reticula filling each one with Echo Lines. Wow, LOVE IT!

Here's the final tile, after colorizing a little with yellow and adding some very diaphanous tassels.

Drawing with Echo Lines is a type of meditative drawing that is unlike any pattern or tangle. It uses foreshortening to create incredibly 3-dimensional shapes even without shading!
