Tagh String
Another Art Raffle pulled out by some friends on May 23 2024 - I made a few alterations and switched a few cards. I used Tagh (Zentangle) as a string and then spherified the other tangles. I used Crease (Sam Taylor), Gust, Tagh and Quabog (Zentangle). The raffle also asked to use Decorative Borders which I happily obliged.
Here's a step out of the line-art:
And here is a before and after shading. The challenge here was in the shading: I used only brown and sanguine ink, no pencils at all. I used a Tombow brush pen 947, also a Faber Castell Pitt Brush Pen in Sanguine, and I also filled up a waterbrush with some brown ink.
Here is a close-up of the tile, with some little bijou tests I did before hand.

I’m still enjoying making these mini needlepoints, I might use them as patches to embellish purses or totes. I’m finding the similarities with Zentangle fascinating: repetitive patterns, intuitive and meditative method (in this type of counted design), small size canvas, portability and unexpected results. Fun!
