Slits challenge
Inspired by a picture created by the talented Antonine Koval, our challenge of the week at the Shading Zentangle® group is to create a picture with one or more slits, that is, lines on the paper that, when shaded in a particular way, make the paper look like it has a cut. This is not a tangle per se, it is more of a concept. Notice that the slit is IMAGINARY, that is, it doesn't really exist in reality, it's just the drawing that makes it look that way.

There is no "before" or intermediate picture of any kind. I was not able to take a picture when I created this one, and only had the black and sepia pen, and the gray markers with me.
