Printer's Ornaments and Envelope Repurpose
This week I was preparing a class on Printer’s Ornaments for my Art Clubbers when suddenly I had a repurposing idea: I always felt bad and could never quite get myself to throw away the beautiful craft envelopes in which Zentangle’s Project Packs materials come. So I found a way to repurpose them to make a pretty envelope for my tiles.
First, I cut the craft envelope just above the label.
Next, I cut a piece of black paper - I didn't have any washi tape - and folded it to fit the bottom of the envelope and glued it in place.
Next, I attached a tile I had made with some mirrored Printer's Ornaments (the topic of an upcoming class) to the front of the envelope using photo corners.
What I love about these envelopes is that they also fit 4x4 inch pictures which I often use.
And finally I closed the envelope using a pretty ribbon. SUPER fun!
Feel free to pin or share these pictures if you like.
This is Jenice Kee's Jeweled Garden, part of Zentangle Beyond Language event. Halfway through, silly me decided to add a hatched ribbon, leaving no room for the other tangles! I like the result anyway, THANK YOU Jenice for a fantastic project.
