Distressed Hearts a Flutter

I'm a bit jaded about using tangles with hearts -- drew too many in the past, I guess, but when I saw the challenge posted by Adele Bruno for "It's a String Thing #192", I was intrigued. 

It called to use a large swirly M string, which I created over this gorgeous distressed tile made by my friend Deb Correia: 

Using tangles Hearts-a-flutter (Leslie Goldberg), Warped Eggs (Livia Chua) and Msst (Maria Thomas). Here is the line-art.

Here is the final tile, after shading and colorizing:

I like the rainbow effect that came through the tile!
