Updated Art Raffle Cards and improved Visual Search 1.17
A new update to our free app Art Raffle is available! Aside from new cards, it also includes an update that to me is quite significant and impactful in the way that I use the app. Now you can choose if you would like to view the cards in the search more in LIST FORMAT or GRID FORMAT (Mac and iOS only).
In the original release, cards could only be searched and displayed in LIST format, as shown above. This format is a little improved with larger font on the title to help our tired eyes.
However, when the grid mode is selected, the search dialog is displayed visually as a larger boxes. That is incredibly helpful to me when I want to search for tangles or enhancers visually, and not by name. Which I do all the time!
I also updated the descriptions a little more, fine-tuning them so that by typing in a type of CATEGORY, you'll get cards that are relevant to that word. This ability make the app an incredibly helpful catalog of tangles and enhancers! I'm super psyched with this new feature.
The only sad thing is that this new search display is ONLY available on iOS and Mac, not Android. Sorry! We knew there would be limitations to the features available on the Android when we first developed it, and there is no plan to develop the app further on Android other than updating the cards.
Alan also brushed up some internal code, so that scrolling in search mode is a little smoother.
New Cards
There are 18 new cards — available to iOS, Mac and Android. These include a mix of tangles, enhancers and strings.
I want to thank the very generous tanglers who granted us permission to use their tangles in the app. In this release, I included Narwal (Sam Taylor), Nehphi (Neha Agrawal), Tullup (Stefanie van Leeuwen), Gurdell (Joanna Campbell Slan), Sen, Hamsix and Airis (Alena Light), Hamail (Tina Hunziker) and Noom Repus (Zentangle).

This is version 1.17 of the app, and the official changes are: 18 new cards bringing the total up to 376. Smoother scrolling in the search box. Search box now can toggle between list and grid display making it easier to find cards visually. Improved description text for easier search of tangle categories.
Art Raffle app updated with 25 more cards! The total cards is now 645. I have a lot of tangles to add - if you have given your permission already, please have patience and I’ll get to them! In this release I included many tangles by Hanny Nura, also Vicki Bassett, Oswaldo Burbano Sandoval, Tina Hunziker, Gwen Mertens, Ruth Gutberlet, Liz Drake and Yvonne Westover. Many thanks to all!!!
